Major Hashim Rumlee RMAF a retired officer from the air force wef 01 Apr 2009, his last appointment was the Military Staff Officer Grade 2 at Markas Tentera Udara - Jabatan arah Teknologi Maklumat & Komunikasi (Information Warfare) since Apr 2002.

He has more than 28 years of working experience in operational management, organizational risk assessment audits and training & operations. Highly developed administrative, technical management training, expert computer usage and management information systems.

Also has experience in technical system evaluation, development in planning of organizational communications establishment and management of nationwide communication network.

Happily married for 8 years and bless with two lovely daughters age 7 and 4 years old.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Work with the various application of information technology in the Air Force Communication establishment. Have considerable knowledge on application either web-base (examples are Active Server Pages, Hypertext Markup Languages, Javascript and others) or non web-base (Microsoft Office – Access; Excel; Word; Frontpage, Visual Basic Application and others). Able to operate under Windows XP Pro, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2003 environment. Have basic knowledge under UNIX environment.

INFORMATION SECURITY
Conducted risk assessment audit on all matters related to communication throughout the Air Force. Have undergone various courses on Network Security, Ethical Hacking & Countermeasures and Local Area Network.

AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL
Licensed and qualified Air Traffic Controller, ATC Instructor and ATC Examiner.

COMMUNICATION
Managed and supervised nationwide wireless radio network, tactical callsign allocation, authentication code, fixed-line network, radio frequency usage and secured communication network.

TRAINING
Trained, directed, and supervised specialized communication teams in information security, risk assessment audit and communication security. An instructor in training Royal Malaysian Airforce Air Traffic Control Candidates local and overseas.

Operations Officer - (Lieutenant RMAF)

(Responsible for flight monitoring, coordinating Search & Rescue, issuing Air Tasking Order and management of Airspace usage with Department of Civil Aviation).

KUANTAN AIRBASE, PAHANG (1986 - 1991)
Air Traffic Control Officer - (Lieutenant RMAF)

(Responsible for providing Air Traffic Services to flights operating within designated control airspace. Qualified rating position in Tower Control, Approach Control, Approach Radar, Radar Director and Precision Radar Approach. Nominated as Tower and Approach Supervisor for other controller).

SCHOOL OF AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL, SEKTUB - KUANTAN (1992 - 1996)
Air Traffic Control Intructor - (Captain RMAF)

(Responsible for training fresh graduate and recruits in the art of Air Traffic Control. Qualified instructor for Tower, Approach and Radar courses. Supervised and create the Non Integrated Simulation (NIS) phase procedure to be used in the Tower, Approach and Radar courses). Trained and supervised Air Traffic Controllers locally as well as overseas.

(Responsible for planning the development of Air Force Information Warfare capability. To ensure that all measures and controls taken to deny unauthorized persons information derived from telecommunications and ensure the authenticity of such telecommunications. Communications Security (COMSEC) includes cyptosecurity, transmission security, emissions security, traffic-flow security and physical security of COMSEC equipment. Conducted Risk-Assessment audit for COMSEC throughout the Air Force. Assisted in the Risk-Assessment Team for Communication Security and Computer Security).

THE AIR TRAFFIC FLIGHT PROGRESS STRIP (FLiPS) GENERATOR

Develop a computerised system that generates and prints flight progress strip using the Computer Associates (CA) Clipper software. The program is no longer in my keep, I loose it when arranging my things, this is my first try in programming in DOS environment.

ROYAL MALAYSIAN AIR FORCE BASE COMMAND CONTROL COMMUNICATION NETWORK (BCCCNet)

Developed a web based application (prototype) using Active Server Pages (ASP) and Javascript to be used in the Air Force Operations room. The Air Force is seriously considering to further enhance the applications. This applications is in line with the remarks made by the then Chief of Air Force to develop a computerised system for operations room. This web based application could be incorporated to work in the Network Centric Warfare environment.

ROYAL MALAYSIAN AIR FORCE AIRFORCE INFORMATION WARFARE NETWORK (AIWNet)

Developed a web based application using Active Server Pages (ASP) and Javascript used by the Information Warfare Cell of the Royal Malaysian Airforce to extract information on regional ASEAN countries. A restricted application and therefore cannot be deliberated any further.

MALAYSIAN ARMED FORCES FREQUENCY SPECTRUM MANAGEMENT DATABASE (MAFSdB)

Developed a computerised database for the management of frequency in the Malaysian Armed Forces using Microsoft Office Access database. This is a fully develop system that handles the frequency management of the Army, Navy and Air Force. The system also handles the frequency management of the members of Frequency Assignment Co-ordination for Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei (FACSMAB).

THE ROYAL MALAYSIAN AIR FORCE ELECTROMAGNETIC SPECTRUM MANAGEMENT RESOURCE CENTRE (AFRescen)

This website is a resource center for the RMAF Communications personnel to acquire any information pertaining to communications per se. The site is built entirely in asp on IIS and window server 2003, it was designed and developed by myself, using what available resources at hand.

My personal website, an experiment to get into the web design craze. The site was designed and developed solely by myself and built in ASP, Javascript and Ms Access, using Frontpage, Notepad, EditPlus2, Irfanview and Paint. The site was intended to be access mostly by communications personnel of which a lot of resources are available, and any other surfers who managed to come across to this site.

ROYAL MALAYSIAN AIR FORCE HIGH FREQUENCY CALLSIGN, AUTHENTICATION TABLE AND POSITION REPORT

Develop a computerised system for the RMAF HF Callsign, Authentication Table and Position Report using Random Word Generator and Microsoft Office Word . This system used the process of randomizing word for the HF Callsign, Authentication Table and Position Report, Word macro and mail merge to disseminate the instruction throughout Air Force.

SCHOOL OF AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL (SEKTUB) TOWER SIMULATOR (1996)

Act as one of the committee in the evaluation process of the School of Air Traffic Control Tower Simulator project. Project value at one million US dollars.
