2009/01/07
KUALA LUMPUR: Media Prima Berhad's television and radio stations will dedicate airtime to cover
the crisis in Gaza. The coverage also serves to raise awareness on the "Fund for Gaza" by New Straits
Arial Press (M) Bhd.
"We are saddened by the turn of events in Palestine.
"Many families have been affected and made homeless in the attacks, while supplies in hospitals and
food are running low.
"In light of this, we would like to join our associate company, NSTP, in encouraging the public and
corporations to contribute to the Fund for Gaza to ease the suffering of the victims," said Media Prima
chairman Datuk Abdul Mutalib Mohamed Razak.
More than 631 Palestinians have been killed and 2,700 people, including women and children,
wounded since the Israeli attacks began on Dec 27.
